Three Toronto area Lions Clubs got together to run a golf tournament for the benefit of the
Canadian National Institute for the Blind. Barry MacDonald, a long time golfer and member of the
Lions Club, was instumental in the organization of the event and the recruitment of sponsors and
foursomes. BARIC was also a hole sponsor for the event. The event was extremely successful and
promises to be an annual event. Seen next to the 'Hole in one' prize are the MacDonald Family

BARIC is pleased to announce the opening of an office in Chicago, USA. This exciting event is
precipitated as a result of four professionals with extensive experience in the Continuity arena
joining with BARIC to provide services in the US. Barry MacDonald, BARIC's President, said "We
are very happy to be able to announce that these individuals, with whom I have worked with
personally in the past, have joined ranks with us. This opens up many opportunities for all of us and
will serve to better provide assistance to our clients in the US." Martin Goulbourn, spokesman for
the Chicago group indicated his eagerness to get working with existing clients and to expand the
scope of the business throughout the US. Joining Mr. Goulbourn in Chicago are Al Plate, Jose
Pachicano and Terry Shaughnessy, all distinguished and long serving veterans in the Continuity
industry.

BARIC Continuity Services acquires the Consulting Services Division from Agility Recovery
Solutions. Agility was spun out of General Electric Business Recovery Services Division in 2002.
